The Sussex Guild is delighted to be exhibiting once again in Henfield Hall on 27 & 28 April. The Contemporary Craft Show will take place throughout the main hall, foyer and garden suite. Delicious homemade refreshments will be available in the café throughout the day, with seating inside as well as in the garden. Kate Hackett has been working hard as the lead show co-ordinator working with a small team of members for our Henfield Show. Kate has fun creating her ceramic designs inspired by nature, gardens, flowers, landscapes, the seaside, material patterns, and patchwork quilts. Kate has fun creating her ceramic designs inspired by nature, gardens, flowers, landscapes, the seaside, material patterns, and patchwork quilts. So do please say hello to her when you visit.

Exhibitor Diane Rogers creates one off original pieces of contemporary silk textile art. Her inspiration is from nature and the natural environment and she captures fleeting moments in nature’s continuing cycle of creation, destruction and change. Lorraine Gibby expresses her passion for colour and pattern in her anodized aluminium jewellery. Her working process begins with observation of form and colour, usually taken from natural surroundings. Andrew Poder designs boxes around new timber stocks coming into his workshop and allows the chosen wood to shape his designs, making each piece unique. He likes to work with other artists in ceramics, resins and metals to add another dimension to his work.

Be inspired by an array of exciting ceramics, furniture, glass, jewellery, leatherwork, metalwork, silversmithing, textiles and woodwork. Our skilled designer makers look forward to meeting you to discuss their individual work and to explain their craft techniques and inspirations. Take the opportunity to buy beautifully crafted, handmade items, or to commission an extra special one-of-a-kind piece. Admission is £3 and your ticket allows you to return throughout the last weekend in April.
