Your Museum Needs You!

A call for new stewards – volunteers of any age or background.  No previous experience needed.

Being a steward at Steyning Museum is brilliant. For just a few hours a month you could have a chance to help in the running of the amazing resource that is the town’s Museum.
 
The history of Steyning and its surrounding area is a long and fascinating one and it is all documented in the Museum. From artefacts to archives to photographs, the story of our community is told here. As a steward, you will greet visitors and help enhance their experience. We have people coming from all over the world, some with family links to Steyning, and others who are just fascinated by our history.

I have been a steward for the last few years and can confidently say that it has been one of my best experiences since I moved to Steyning. The entirely voluntary management team is endlessly helpful and supportive.
