Sing Out Sister Ladies Choir & The Friends of Steyning Parish: Free concert This Wonderful World.

Steyning’s vibrant women only choir, will perform a free concert in the beautiful surroundings of Steyning Parish Church.
'This Wonderful World’ will be a celebration of the world in which we live through the medium of song.

The event will be hosted by Sing Out Sister Ladies Choir, plus special guests, including jazz trumpeter, Rob Heasman. Featuring contemporary music from the 1940s to present day, through the genres of jazz, soul, rock, pop and musical theatre, they hope to lift your spirits with an evening of celebratory music.

There will be a collection at the concert in support of The Friends of Steyning Parish Church – all money raised will go toward the repair and improvement of our historic church.

Sing Out Sister Choir is a women only choir which was founded in 2010 by Christabel Heasman-Cossins, a professional singer and singing coach. They started with just a small group in Christabel's mother’s spare room and have grown to a choir of over 40 women. The songs are arranged by Christabel in 3 part harmonies and are a mixture of contemporary music genres, including soul, jazz, musical theatre, pop, rock and even country music! The choir has performed music from every decade from the start of the 20th century right into the present century. Almost all of the members started out as a beginner, with very few having singing or choir experience. However, with a focus on simple singing techniques, practice, and a lot of friendship and fun, the choir has risen to great heights! Wine and soft drinks will be on sale.

Sing Out Sister rehearses on Monday evenings at 19:30 at Steyning Methodist Church. Come and give it a try! For more information contact Christabel on 07730 373142 www.singoutsister.co.uk
