Parish Council - Volunteers Needed.

Volunteers needed to help with Gritting Paths in the event of Snow Fall.

Would you be interested in assisting the Parish Council with gritting pavements in the Steyning area in the event of heavy snow or severe ice during the winter months?

The aim is to create a group of volunteers who would sign up to a WhatsApp group. In the event of snow or a severe ice forecast a text via the group would check availability and the agree pathways to be treated with rock salt. The rock salt is available from the many salt bins positioned in the town. Instructions, high viz and insurance will be provided.
