Green Drinks Film Night: Online screening of the film '2040'

Tuesday 27th October 19:30 - 21:00

ONLINE SCREENING OF THE FILM ‘2040’

If you’re need for some positive inspiration on the state of the planet, this could be one for you! For October’s Green Drinks, Greening Steyning has organised a special online screening of the uplifting film ‘2040’.

2040 is an upbeat and positive film about climate change with practical suggestions on how we can get on top of the crisis. In it, award-winning director Damon Gameau embarks on a journey to explore what the future could look like by the year 2040 if we embrace the best solutions already available to us to improve our planet and shifted them rapidly into the mainstream.

Structured as a letter to his 4 year old daughter, Damon blends traditional documentary with dramatised sequences and high-end visual effects to create a convincing vision of how these solutions could regenerate the world for future generations.

‘Accessible, informative and optimistic look at solutions to the climate crisis... 2040 is a rare climate documentary with an optimistic message’ (New York Times)

Greening Steyning has arranged with the UK distributors, Together Films, to host an online screening. There are only 100 tickets available and cost £3, or £5 if you’d like to chip in to sponsoring the 2030 Project. You can book a virtual seat for the screening via Eventbrite using this link: https://bit.ly/2040filmsteyning

Post Screening Chat:
The film lasts an hour and a half; it will be followed by a ‘Virtual Chat’ from 21:00 to 21:30 on Zoom where you can share your thoughts on the film with others who attended.
