Film of the Restoration of the Blue Idol Quaker Meeting House
This wonderful 16th Century, Grade II listed West Sussex building is of considerable historic significance as the Quaker Meeting House of William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania.
In 2013 the building became unusable due to severe and unforeseen structural instability. For two years it underwent major renovation during which time the small Quaker community were faced with difficult decisions and new challenges.
This 30 minute film traces the restoration process as it unfolded and the human experience of making it happen. The film will be followed by discussion and refreshments.
