Steyning Parish Council updates

New disabled toilet facility on the Memorial Playing Field available to the public.

Steyning Parish Council is delighted that the Tennis Club has successfully undertaken the complete replacement of their ageing Clubhouse on the Memorial Playing Field, and congratulates the Club on raising the necessary funds and providing such an improved facility for their members.

The Council is also delighted that, as part of the works ,the new Disabled toilet facility is available for use by the public on request at any time the Club is open. Anyone wishing to use the toilet should ask any player or spectator to release the entry gate, which they can do quickly and easily, using either of the two remote opening controls available.

Up until now the nearest toilet facility available regularly to cricket field users has been in the High Street, which is quite a way from the Playing Field, especially for young children.

With the better weather having a toilet actually on the Field, accessed via the gate to the Tennis Clubhouse, will be a boon for all. The Tennis Club’s opening hours can be found on their website www.steyningtennisclub.com.
