Steyning Parish Council invites members of the public to propose nominations for the Chairman’s Millennium Awards.

Criteria for Chairman’s Millennium Awards nominations:

The Chairman’s Millennium Awards will be given annually by the Steyning Parish Council to individuals or groups who have made a significant contribution to the town of Steyning. They will be presented at the Chairman’s Christmas function.

Nominations will be invited from the people of Steyning for individuals or groups who in their opinion have made a significant contribution to the town of Steyning.

The individuals or groups nominated with either:

• Live in the town and the surrounding area.

• Be an organisation or a member of an organisation that represents the town.

• Or work in the town or surrounding parishes.

It is the contribution to the town that is significant in deciding whether an award will be made.

The Finance & Community Committee of Steyning Parish Council, under the leadership of the Chairman, will consider the nominations. Their verdict will be final.

Nominations should be made in writing saying why you think this person(s) should be considered for this award.

Please send your nomination to the Parish Clerk or Deputy if you wish to nominate a member of your community for an award.

Closing date is Tuesday 5th November 2019.
