Steyning Festival 2018

On Saturday 26th May 2018, the 8th Steyning Festival begins with a new and improved Big Top tent, a vibrant programme to appeal to all ages and interests, one which offers the opportunity to get involved in a wonderful community experience.

The overall theme this time is to be ‘Revolution’ in all its widest forms - there have been revolutions in the arts, in science and technology, in industry and practically every area of our lives; when those of us who are old enough think back over the last 50 years, so much has changed in such a short time. Revolution also incorporates all things which revolve so our theme include wheels, balls, windmills, dancing, hula hoops, roundabouts …..

As in 2016, the opening event of the Festival will be the Community Parade. Twelve groups took part last time and we hope they will join us again but we would be delighted if more organisations would like to participate. We aim to have three bands this time so we can make even more noise!

The idea is to advertise your group by dressing in an appropriate (or inappropriate) way, carrying a banner and possibly illustrating the ‘Revolutionary’ theme with ‘props’,
posters etc.
