Steyning Drama Club Review: The Captain’s Comeuppance

The second production by Steyning Drama club coincided with a visit from an Anglophile European friend of mine. She was delighted at the prospect of a quintessentially English evening out and she wasn’t disappointed.

Following the triumph of the inaugural production in March, Velma Oxtoby not only directed 'The Captain’s Comeuppance' but she wrote the script too. The audience were treated to an hilarious murder mystery full of suspense and intrigue.

Once again, the set and props were magnificent and the supper served in the interval was delicious and very welcome.

Steyning Drama Club continues to grow in strength and numbers, providing an artistic outlet for members of this thriving community. Reviewed by Liz Griffiths
