Steyning A.C. win ’Steynfield’ 2020!

70 runners from Steyning AC and Henfield Joggers competed in the long awaited return of this local race.

Runners raced the Downs Link route, which joins the two towns, throughout a windy week from 19th to 26th September.

Henfield Joggers locked out the podium positions with fastest four individual times – Andy Massingale was fastest at 27m57s for the 7.7kms (4.8 miles) – but Steyning took the overall prize with a combined points total of 2330, versus Henfield’s 2015.

The Steynfield race was an annual fixture in the calendar of both clubs until around 10 years ago. The clubs decided to bring back the race in 2020 following the success of the unofficial Roundhill Romp and the virtual Henfield Half Marathon.
