Steyning AC: Roundhill Romp & Mini-Romp

Annual Steyning AC Roundhill Romp takes place evening of Wednesday 3rd July. There are two events:

At 19:00. The Mini-Romp is a 1 mile race within the Steyning Cricket field for runners aged 15 and under. Entries are £1, and close at 18:45 on the night.

At 19:30. The Roundhill Romp is a 6 mile trail race for runners over the age of 15. The route starts in the High Street by the Clock Tower; heads along Mouse Lane towards Wiston House; climbs up onto the South Downs Way; loops back along the Upper Horse Shoe, heads down through the Rifle Range, and finishes in the Cricket Field.

The races, part of the West Sussex Fun Run League, see some 500 runners competing. Non members are also welcome. Entries: WSFRL website (http://westsussexfunrunleague.org.uk/race-entry-forms/). £1 for Mini-Romp, £3 for Roundhill Romp (WSFRL Club members, £4 for non-Club members). Entries on the day from the Race HQ (Steyning AC clubhouse - Charlton Road) if there are places. £1 for the Mini-Romp (close 18:45), and £5 for the Roundhill Romp (close 19:15). As the 19:30 race follows the High Street down to Mouse Lane, temporary road closure in place.

Competitors gathering in the High Street Car Park around 18:30. Spectators very welcome to line the High Street to cheer on runners at the start of the race, and at the finish in the Cricket Field (first runners will finish around 20:00). BBQ, refreshments and Licensed Bar by the Cricket Club for competitors and spectators.
