Choral Concert by Cantilena and the Cavalli Consort

Cantilena was formed by its Director, Jenny Hansell, to explore the repertoire for high voices.
The main works are a Mass Setting by Michael Haydn, brother of the more famous Joseph, and a beautiful Stabat Mater by Abos, who wrote in a similar style to Pergolesi.
These pieces will be accompanied by the Cavalli Consort on period instruments.
Also included are two motets by Mendelssohn and an arrangements of Faure's Cantique de Jean Racine.
The Cavalli Consort, leader Judy Tarling, will also play one of Mozart's Church Sonatas.
