Billy Elliot hits the Steyning Stage

Billy Elliot hits the Steyning Stage.

Steyning Grammar School is very proud to be performing ‘Billy Elliot’ this July.
This wonderful show, with music by Elton John and book by Lee Hall, was a West End
hit for many years.

It is a huge challenge for schools to tackle and students have been working hard on it since early March. The show has a cast of 72 students aged 12 – 18.

Some of the company are seasoned performers, others are new to the stage, but they are working brilliantly together to bring this show to life.

The show is particularly challenging for the central character of Billy, and Steyning is very fortunate to have the very gifted Ed Hooper, a year 9 student, playing this role.

The production team for the show are all former SGS pupils, who now bring their professional skills to support and encourage the school’s young performers.

The show is a roller coaster of emotions – it will make you laugh and is guaranteed to make you cry – it will most certainly entertain you!

Tickets are available from The Steyning Bookshop and from both school offices.

Shows are:
Friday 14th July 7.30
Saturday 15th July 2.30 and 7.30
Sunday 16th July 2.30 and 7.30.

Tickets are £10 adult and £6 students.
