‘A simple act of kindness’
I opened my little tearoom in June last year and have been lucky enough to meet some lovely families. One family in particular really made me smile as they used their reward chart prize for great behaviour as a trip to Victoria’s Sponge!This same family came in a few months ago and their son, Chester who is 8 said he wanted to pay for the next person’s coffee out of his own money as his random act of kindness.
I was so overwhelmed by this I told as many people as I could and this generated a chain reaction with customers adding an extra hot drink onto their bill so the next person or someone in need could get a hot drink.
We are currently up to 78 pay it forward hot drinks and it makes me feel so proud of Chester. His act of kindness has reached so many and made people stop and think of others...and really that is what life is all about.
