Why use a Broker?

August 1st, 2022
The sensible thing is to approach a broker that has comprehensive access to the market, and this is where you will get real value.
With interest rates continuously increasing there has never been a more important time to engage the services of a broker.

Why?

Well, most people will consider their own bank or building society as the first port of call, but that limits your options to those of a single lender. Given the competition in the market that really doesn’t make sense.

The sensible thing is to approach a broker that has comprehensive access to the market, and this is where you will get real value.

There are a whole host of lenders that only deal directly with brokers’ and that the public do not have access to.

As there is no branch network or advisers with these lenders, their products can be very competitive.

In addition to this, lenders see brokers as their largest distribution channel.

Most mortgages for banks or building societies are arranged by brokers on average 3 out of every 4. As a result of this, lenders will offer brokers ‘exclusive’ rates and in some cases these are far lower than the core products offered directly to the public. This can be the case even if you already bank with a lender and are a customer.

So, in times of increasing rates, visit a broker to make sure you are getting the best possible deal.

To speak with one of our advisers to help you through the mortgage maze please call 01903 815444 today as we can arrange and secure a new mortgage for you sometimes up to 6 months before your existing rate comes to an end!
