The Steyning Bookshop wins Ian Rankin!

   

His publishers Orion Publishing Group have awarded the bookshop an afternoon and evening of Ian's time to mark the publication in paperback of his latest Inspector Rebus novel Even Dogs in the Wild.

Bookshop staff aren't sure which of their proposals in their winning competition entry was the most enticing to the author. Could it have been the thought of tea and cake in the bookshop garden?? Or meeting Harry the dog who featured in the bookshop's promotion picture? Or was it by any chance the afternoon trip to the new Riverside Brewery in Upper Beeding for a tour and tasting?

There will be limited tickets for Rankin enthusiasts to join him on the Brewery Tour in the afternoon and then a great opportunity to hear him talk in the evening at a special appearance at the Steyning Centre at 7.30 pm. Tickets for the evening event are £12 to include a copy of the book.

And that's not all that's happening during IBW!
There will be special offers, competitions and general book related activities all week and on the last Saturday of Independent Bookseller's Week, 25th June, there will be a special children's event when picture book author Leigh Hopkinson will be creating a fantastic window display and following this with a story and craft session in the afternoon.
