The 2012 London Olympic Games
A final opportunity to see the Olympic Park and regenerated East End of London before the opening ceremony in July.
It was in November 2010 that Steyning Millennium Trust started taking people to see the Olympic Park in London as a means to raise money for their registered charity.
At that time no one envisaged how popular this tour would be and to date several hundred people have experienced a most memorable day out.
The Olympic Tour is now nationally the most popular day out and it is almost impossible to reserve the right guides and eating venues before the start of the games.
Charles Ashby, a trustee of the Charity, has been organising these tours from the outset and now believes they have one of the best tours available. He has to book months in advance to be assured of the best guides and facilities.
All seats on the tours are taken until the end of March 2012. There is however availability in April, May and June 2012 when you should be able to see the completed project.
The coach leaves Steyning at 08.30 am and aims to return by 6.45 pm.
Morning coffee, lunch and services of a blue badge guide are included. As a charity they do not sell tickets but take donations. The suggested minimum donation for this tour is £39 per head. Seats will go fast so telephone Charles on 01903 814049 as soon as possible to reserve a place.
Steyning Millennium Trust is a registered Charity inspiring the students of Steyning Grammar School. Encouraging students of all abilities to make the best of their lives.
Every Student, the best they can be.
