Steyning Garden open for Charity.
The garden at Saffrons in Holland Road is opening again this year under the National Garden Scheme. The garden opened for the first time in 2009 and made nearly £1,500 for NGS charities, which include Marie Curie Cancer Care, Macmillan cancer support, Help the Hospices and Cross Roads Care.
Situated close to the centre of Steyning, the 3⁄4 acre garden has a large south facing lawn with formal herbaceous beds, a long border of shrubs, trees, grasses and bamboos, a mixture of mature and younger specimen trees and a kitchen garden.
Come and spend some time relaxing in the garden and enjoy a cup of tea and delicious home made cakes. The cakes are all made by a group of local helpers and proved very popular last year.
The garden is open from 2.00 to 5.30pm on Sunday 18th and Wednesday the 21st of July. Admission is £3.00, children free.
