Steyning Festival Short Story Competition
This year saw the second Steyning Festival Short Story Competition for both adults and older children, continuing the Festival theme of “Uniting Generations”.
The prize-giving and readings of the winning stories takes place on Wednesday 2nd June at 11.30am in the sumptuous surroundings of Wiston House, the imposing C16th Grade 1 listed building managed by Wilton Park, sponsors of this event.
The organisers were delighted to receive a large number of entries of a very high standard and there will be five adult and two under-16 prize-winners some of whose stories will be read to an audience at a lunch in the Great Hall.
This is a wonderful opportunity for people to see the interior of this fascinating historic building, and to enjoy good food in the company of some talented short-story writers.
Tickets for this very special event, which includes lunch, cost £12 and are available from the Festival Box Office, The Steyning Bookshop, Tel: 01903 812062.
