Steyning and Henfield Rotary: Father Christmas around the town!
Father Christmas will be early this year. He is visiting Steyning, Bramber and Upper Beeding again, and will be bringing his little cottage. But he won’t be giving out presents – you’ll have to wait for Christmas for that.
This time he will trying to persuade you to donate to charity, mainly for local good causes including the Chantonbury Playscheme and the Special Task Force, both engaged in helping disabled children and young people.
Rotary members and friends will be with him, and weather permitting we’ll start collecting around 6pm.
So look out for him in these areas on these dates:
• Monday 5th December at Goring Road.
• Tuesday6th December at Penlands.
• Thursday 8th December at Saltings Way.
• Friday 9th December at Shooting Field.
• Monday 12th December at Kings Barn.
• Tuesday 13th December at Hyde Square.
• Wednesday 14th December at Newham Lane.
Father Christmas will also be at the Steyning Farmers Market on Saturday 3rd December, and at the Steyning Late Night Shopping on Wednesday 7th December. Come and say hello, and look round his little house.
Steyning and Henfield Rotary:
Carol Service in Lancing College Chapel, 19th December 7:30pm
Please join us in Lancing College Chapel on Monday 19th December at 7:30 pm for a Service of Lessons and Carols with the band of the Worthing Salvation Army. The service, in this magnificent and soaring chapel, will be led by Major Peter Leech.
This is not just for Rotary: everyone is welcome so please tell your family, friends, acquaintances and even people you meet in the street! But please do wrap up warm. There will be a retiring collection in aid of the Salvation Army and their wonderful work with homeless people, with a small donation to the chapel funds.
If you like what we do and would like to find out more, contact us by email to info@steyningandhenfieldrotary.co.uk or by calling Peter Johnson on 07714 093406 and we’ll get you along to one of our meetings.
The more help we can get, the more we can serve the community, so even if you don’t want to become a Member, you could become a Friend and just help out where you can. Peter Johnson
