Rotary Father Christmas is Coming

Stryning & Henfield Rotary Charity Project The streets, roads and lanes of Steyning, Bramber and Upper Beeding will echo to the sound of Christmas carols and the Ho Ho Ho’s of Santa again this year.

The Steyning and Henfield Rotary Club will be collecting for the many charities the Club supports and also bringing festive cheer to all.

Weather permitting, Father Christmas and his team of collectors will be visiting the following areas:

Monday 6th December: Steyning Goring Road area, 6.00pm.

Monday 13th December: Upper Beeding Saltings Way area, 6.00pm.

Tuesday 14th  December: Upper Beeding Undermill Road area, 6.00pm.

Thursday 16th December: Steyning Penlands area, 6.00pm.

Friday 17th December: Steyning Shooting Field area on the green at 5.00pm.

Tuesday 21st December: Steyning Newham Lane area, 6.00pm.

Father Christmas will also visit the Farmers Market in Steyning on Saturday 4th December.

As well, we will be at the Christmas Fairs in Steyning on Wednesday 8th and Henfield on Friday 10th December.

The Rotary Club is very grateful for the generosity of those living in Steyning, Bramber and Upper Beeding who contribute to the collections.

All the money raised is distributed to local charities including Steyning First Responders, Chanctonbury Community Playscheme, Steyning Special Task Force and St Barnabas Hospice, and to overseas emergencies and projects including Rotary’s polio eradication programme, a village housing scheme in Zambia and the Pokot School in Kenya.

Rotary Carol Service at Lancing College - Monday 20th December at 7.00pm

This is free and will be led by the excellent Worthing Salvation Army Band, joined by Shoreham Singers-by-Sea.
