Rotary Club - Christmas 2009



The Streets, roads and lanes of Steyning, Bramber and Upper Beeding will echo to the sound of Christmas carols and the Ho Ho Ho’s of Santa again this year.

 

The Steyning and Henfield Rotary Club will be collecting for the many charities the Club supports and also bringing festive cheer to all.

 

Weather permitting, Father Christmas and his team of collectors will be visiting the following areas:

Thursday 3rd December – Steyning, Goring Road area.

Friday 4th December – Steyning, Kings Barn area.

Monday  7th DecemberUpper Beeding, Saltings Way area.

Friday 11th DecemberUpper Beeding, Underhill Road area.

Monday 14th December – Steyning, Penlands area.

Tuesday 15th December – Steyning, Newham Lane area.

Friday 18th December – Steyning, Shooting Fields area.

 

Father Christmas will be at the Farmer’s Markets in Steyning on Saturday 6th December and in Henfield on Friday 18th December.

 

The Rotary Club is very grateful for the generosity of the people of Steyning, Bramber and Upper Beeding who contribute to the collections.  All the money collected is distributed to local, national and international charities.  This year these will include Steyning First Responders, Chanctonbury Community Playscheme, Special Task Force, St Barnabas Hospice, Abesu – a housing project in Zambia, Pokot School in Kenya, the eradication of polio and Emergency Shelter Boxes.

 

Rotary Carol Service at Lancing College Chapel

Monday 21st December.

Please note that our annual Carol Service will be held in Lancing College Chapel on Monday 22nd December at 7.30 p.m.  It is free of charge and will be led by the excellent Worthing Salvation Army Band.  Do come with your families and join us.
