News From Bramber Parish Council
Hanging Baskets:
The road leading up to the hanging of the flower baskets in The Street this year was not an easy one to manoeuvre down. New requirements for rust inspections of lamp posts had to be addressed and a reasonable cost negotiated. However, these obstacles were all overcome and the baskets now adorn The Street in their usual magnificent manner.
A big thank you to all the volunteers involved including those who have committed to watering the baskets, twice weekly throughout the Summer months.
Vandalism and Traffic Offences:
Unfortunately persons unknown felt it necessary to vandalise the Notice Board in Maudlyn Lane to such a degree that we are currently getting quotes to re-build it. Apologies for the interruption in information flow whilst this repair takes place. I would encourage any resident to report any such incident to the Police as they are keen to follow up and clamp down on such mindless behaviour.
Additionally, if Traffic Offences are witnessed please report them either directly to the Police or onto the Operation Crackdown website (http://www.operationcrackdown.org/) with as much detail as you can. These reports are followed up by the Police and can quickly lead to action against the offenders.
