Women's North-West Clog Washington, West Sussex
New members welcome

If you have ever fancied having a go at Morris dancing you will be delighted to hear that a new women's team started up in Washington, West Sussex. The style is vigorous and great fun to do and new dancers and musicians of all ages are welcome. We are a sociable group who like to dance, sing, travel and be merry.

The team perform traditional North West clog dances in black trousers, white shirt and red waistcoat. The North West Morris style originated during the Industrial Revolution, particularly in the cotton mill towns of Lancashire in the north west of England. The team has been inspired by the best teams in the country especially Earlsdon Morris Men from Coventry and the Chanctonbury Ring Morris from West Sussex.

The women have been tutored by the Chanctonbury Ring Morris and practices are held at Washington Village Hall on alternate Sundays and Fridays. Further details
