Mary How Trust
Strong Arms Needed - Would you like to help your local charity by putting out tables and chairs at its fundraising events?
The Mary How Trust for Cancer Prevention hosts a calendar of events throughout the year, and is looking for volunteers to lend a hand on the day. If you would like to help lay out chairs for the audience, unload refreshments and glasses, or put up tables, then the popular local health screening charity would love to hear from you.
Have you made a New Year’s resolution to be more physically active? Then this is the perfect opportunity to stay active and help your local community!
The lifting is not heavy, and would suit anyone with a strong pair of arms. A couple of hours of your time will help ensure the event’s success.
Roanne Moore-Loizides, marketing & fundraising manager of the Mary How Trust, explains, “We couldn’t do what we do without the fantastic help we receive from our lovely volunteers. Some help us in the event planning, others help on the day, and together they make it possible to raise important funds for our health screening service.”
You decide how often you can help. Perhaps you’re available for only one or two events in the year; alternatively you might be willing to help every month at the Mary How Trust’s bingo and film evenings.
The charity’s event volunteers are friendly and welcoming, and volunteers and audiences alike enjoy the range of events on offer – from quizzes to golf days, summer fêtes to illustrated talks, gift fairs to concerts.
Most events are held in Pulborough and the surrounding areas. If you would like to know more, please contact Roanne Moore-Loizides on 08452-410956 or roanne.moore@maryhowtrust.org
The Mary How Trust is an independent health screening charity which makes no charge for its services, simply inviting a donation towards costs. Your helping hands could play an important part in keeping the health screening service available to the local community now and in the future.
