I started learning the Alexander Technique 12 years ago. As a busy working mother, I had developed chronic back pain. I discovered that, in addition to relieving the pain, the Alexander Technique made me feel healthier, more active and relaxed. Life in general seemed easier and more pleasurable.
After a career break to complete the three years full time Alexander Technique training, I now teach people of all ages and from all walks of life, from actors and performers to those facing hip replacements. Seeing them benefit from the technique has been very rewarding.

The Alexander Technique works by helping to identify and prevent harmful postural habits that may be the cause of stress and pain. I tailor lessons to each individual pupil using everyday movements like sitting, standing and walking in combination with gentle hands-on and verbal instruction. The pupil learns a greater awareness of how they move, allowing a more natural alignment. These principles can be applied to all activities in their life.
