Jack And The Beanstalk - A Towering Triumph

Jack and the Beanstalk was the second highly successful pantomime to be produced by Steyning Stages and performed at Steyning Grammar School in December of last year.  A towering triumph, from the spiralling human beanstalk which crept through the unsuspecting audience to the live band who wowed everyone with their upbeat soundtrack, this was a show to remember.

The show proudly boasted that it was for the community from the community and was true to its word.  Take a cast of 47, add a band, a choir and a substantial production team and you see before you more than seventy members of the local community creating a little bit of magic.  The audience too had their contribution to make. Braving the ice cold weather, they turned out in their hundreds - laughing and cheering, booing and hissing and having a jolly good time.

Supporters of the Point Foundation supplied much needed hot drinks and goodies at the interval and managed to raise valuable funds for their most worthy charity.  Steyning Grammar School were most welcome hosts and, all in all, the generosity and goodwill shown by everyone should bring a tingle to warm all of our hearts and keep out that winter cold!
