Greetings from the Stunning Steyning Oxfam Shop

For the Oxfam Shop in Steyning, it will be our first Christmas here in the village and both volunteers and staff are really looking forward to this festive season.

We are presently preparing to hold a few exciting events during November and December to raise funds for the charity.

Embracing and supporting the community is important to us, so hopefully these events will offer everyone the opportunity to get together and have an enjoyable evening.

Fashion Show - Thursday 3rd November:
We held a very successful and fun filled fashion show earlier this year, where volunteers modelled a huge variety of clothes and everyone had a fantastic time. The beginning of November will be the perfect time to buy your sparkly Christmas outfits, with matching accessories, warm coats, boots and casual wear. We look forward to welcoming you around 7pm and the show will start at 8pm. Tickets are available at the shop priced at £1.

Neal’s Yard Remedies Organic Skincare Demonstration - Thursday 17th November:
We will be holding a demonstration of the Neal’s Yard Remedies Organic Skincare range and offering free hand massage or facial using the products. This will be a wonderful evening offering our customers the opportunity to try these fantastic products and to learn about the history of this ethical company that celebrates it’s 30th year in business.

There will be plenty of beautiful gift sets just in time for Christmas and funds raised from the event will be donated to Oxfam. Please arrive at 7pm and the demonstration will begin at 7.30pm. Tickets are available at the shop priced at £1.

We shall also be open late on Wednesday 7th December to join in with the festivities at the Christmas Fayre in the High Street and we have invited Father Christmas to be with us that night, in his specially prepared grotto! So come in and say hello.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our committed volunteers for their continued hard work in making the shop a success and our customers for supporting the shop this year. We are always looking for more volunteers, so if you have some free time, even if it’s just once a month, we would love to hear from you.
