Enjoy Tea In A Steyning Garden

Tim & Bernardean GardenTim and Bernardean Melton invite you to join them and their team of helpers when they open their garden, Saffrons, on Sunday the 17th and Wednesday the 20th of July from 2 to 5:30pm for the National Garden Scheme. Saffrons is set close to the centre of Steyning on Holland Road. It is a 3/4 acre garden with large lawns and mature trees.

Plantings are varied and include many specimen trees and shrubs as well as bamboos and grasses. The flower beds are filled with plants carefully chosen for their colour and leaf form. Other features include a fruit cage and vegetable beds as well as espaliered fruit trees. Lots of plants have been potted up for sale including alliums, oriental lilies and gladioli.

Best of all the Saffrons Tea and Cake Committee will create a pantry full of yummy treats to tempt you off your diet. The proceeds of the cake sales will be going to our local hospice charity St Barnabas House. Entry ticket and plant sales will go to the NGS charities, which include MacMillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie Cancer Care. Admission is £3.50, children free. Come have a wander and a slice of cake.
