Daughters rally amazing team to raise money for hospice

"To think that while the girls will be walking through the night, the nurses will be making those same dark hours more bearable for many patients and their families," said Kate.

Within an hour of setting up a JustGiving fundraising page for their team 'GladsGirls', several friends also signed up to walk alongside them and their target of £1000 had been smashed. Currently they have 31 ladies registered to walk and the group total is over £8000.

Kate asks that everyone spread the word about the work of St Barnabas: "They make me feel safe, secure, and are always only a phone call away day or night. But of course they rely on donations and support, so please spread the word so it ripples out to other people in order that St Barnabas can continue to offer their amazing support to others."
St Barnabas' services don't cost patients and their families anything, and very little of the £6m it costs to run the hospice each year is met through government funding, which is why fundraising events are vital.

Register for this amazing event with friends, family or colleagues at www.nighttoremember.org.uk/stb. Choose from a 7 or 13.1 mile route along Worthing's streets and seafront, or a 20 mile route from Worthing to Shoreham and back.  It costs £20 to enter, and will help St Barnabas House provide hospice care to more local people.
