Cuthman’s Mother

Cuthman's Mother

Cuthman’s Mother in partnership with West Sussex Rural Arts bring Theatre to Steyning.

Cuthman’s Mother presents a winter programme for all the family:
Alice in Wonderland on Tuesday 25th January. A brand new musical version of this much loved magical adventure. From the tranquillity of a sunny Oxford riverbank, an inquisitive Alice will lead audiences down the rabbit hole into a mysterious wonderland of the imagination.

The Wolves of Willoughby Chase on Monday 7th February. A new version of the classic children’s story. Two little girls, loyal and loving. One evil guardian, remorseless and cruel. As wolves encircle the land, will the girls manage to reclaim their home?

About Cuthman’s Mother:
Cuthman’s Mother was set up in 2007, inspired by the success of Steyning Festival, as an organisation committed to bringing high quality theatre to Steyning all year round. Jacqueline Gilbrook heads up a group of willing volunteers to promote and host visiting theatre companies in venues in Steyning. The audience response has been overwhelming as our reputation continues to grow. Sell-out shows include ‘Dinner at Mirandolina’s Inn’, ‘Juniper Tree’ and ‘Under Milkwood’. We work in partnership with West Sussex Rural Arts.

About West Sussex Rural Arts:
In the UK, over 14 million people live in rural areas. In West Sussex it is considered that 75% of the county is rural, and despite its proximity to London and major urban infrastructure the county has serious issues around rural isolation and deprivation.

Rural Arts is designed to support a coherent and strategic arts programme to celebrate local distinctiveness. During the 5 years of its development a range of rural arts projects have been devised, drawing on the beauty and the heritage of the West Sussex landscape alongside professional artists and communities.

These classic stories are a must see for all the familiy. Tikets are available at The Steyning bookshop Tel: 01903 812062.
