Buy Once, Give twice with Charity Christmas Cards

Charity cards are a great way to buy once and give twice – once to the person you send the card to and again to your favourite charity.

Once again Charity Christmas Cards from over 28 different charities will be on sale locally in Cornerstones Methodist Church, Worthing. The shop opens on 17 October and is open Monday – Saturday 10.00 – 4.00p.m. until 14 December.

As well as 28 different national charities, cards from local charities are also available along with a wide range of traditional advent calendars, wrappings, tags and small gifts. With over 230 different designs to choose from there really is something for everyone.

Many of the volunteers who man the shop have been involved for years and come from the local community and charities involved, they are very welcoming and helpful. Last year we were very fortunate to enlist the help of many new local volunteers and their continued support and enthusiasm is amazing. Without them the shop simply could not operate. Today, Cards for Good Causes is the UK’s largest mulit-charity Christmas card organisation and its aims are simple - to make charity Christmas cards as widely available as possible, to increase awareness for their causes and to ensure that the charities receive the highest possible return from their card sales. Cards for Good Causes Limited (CFGC) pays the participating charities (or their trading subsidiaries) at least 75p in every pound from their card sales, less the VAT payable on the amount retained by CFGC. The retained amount covers CFGC’s costs of running the temporary charity Christmas card shops. In addition to these costs, the participants have to pay for the production and distribution of their cards.

The Church coffee shop is also open - offering a selection of delicious cakes and snacks. So you can enjoy refreshments after browsing through the cards in a relaxed atmosphere A smaller selection of cards can also be found in Storrington Library until 23 December.
