Ariel Drama Academy

Ariel Drama Academy is one of the most highly respected Drama Academy in the Sussex area. Established in 1991; Ariel has achieved genuine acclaim and recognition within the theatre industry for our shows and professional approach in producing these productions. As such, Ariel draws upon unparalleled experience in generating memorable creative entertainment for our audiences, by staging primarily modern Musicals, Concerts and Plays in professional Theatres.

Ariel Drama Academy is an independent Drama Academy for students 5 to 19, dedicated to training young actors in the core fundamental skills required to become an actor. We strive to create a centre of excellence in each of our core disciplines, whilst always maintaining a key sense of fun through learning and a genuine passion for our pupils to thrive. We offer a broad curriculum on the three core Areas; Drama, Dance and Singing. LAMDA tuition is included at no extra cost.

Due to the high demand and the long waiting list at our other Schools, we are branching into Steyning, which seemed a natural progression as both the Principles are ex Steyning Gramatarians

Nigel Harman star of Eastenders and West End star of ‘Three days of Rain’ and the TV hit Hotel Babylon and Shrek the Musical currently running in the West End is the Companies Patron, ‘The standard of Theatrical Training is second to none, and I am honoured to be Ariel’s Patron, the School sets a shining example of what can be achieved with hard work and dedication’ says Nigel.

Students from our Academy have received a top National lifetime honour for outstanding and selfless contribution to their communities though our work with students with Special needs and we hold the ‘Lady Diana Award for Excellence’ and we are recognised in the industry for our work in this area.

Our students won Billy Elliot Youth Project and along side other Academies performed in the West End in a very special Gala evening, and to add to our diversity we also provide many of the actors you see at Tully’s Farm at their October Fright Night

The School opens on the 1st October and is already accepting many applications, so a waiting list will be highly likely come the end of the year.

The Academy has a strong and successful young Actors section and if you are looking for a name that encapsulates all the things we do – top theatre productions while providing top theatrical training. ‘Ariel’ is the name that springs to mind! We have been producing shows to enhance awareness through Drama, Music and Media since we started in 1994.
